Moistness makes me uncomfortable

They say French is the language of love. This Google translation of a review of my band Coastal's recent album on a Belgian web site proves it:

"Here well a long time that one had not heard an album so delicious slowcore any more. A slowcore of a moistness such as one is divided between the persistent desire to play about naked in snow by pushing great cries of love to the clouds and the desire for being blottir, well to the heat, in its covers by hoping the angels to pass. Whatever your choice, you will not escape the pure caress inflicted by "Halfway To You". With the base of our recent sudden rise of temperature, a simple American trio without artifice none."

I am sure that if I spoke French it would be more poetic.

"I ran it by Usability, and he said it was fine."

Dear Josh P.,

I regret to inform you that your life has now been summed up by a Dilbert comic strip. You have my deepest sympathies.

Sincerly,
Josh

Iron & Wine

So I just can't get enough Iron & Wine. Beautiful sounds from the South that manage to make you feel all warm inside while slowly breaking your heart. Plus I am a sucker for judicious use of pedal steel guitar.

Let it snow

It is snowing--the first big snowfall of the year. And I like it--especially now that I am not commuting over an hour to work.

Ping pong

Just so we're clear on this, Josh is a lousy ping pong player.

The passing of a legend

A moment of silence for the legendary John Peel, who died today. He probably had more influence on popular music than any other dj in the world.
